From late spring through summer, our property becomes a sanctuary of colors and sounds. Flowering dogwoods, azaleas, mountain laurels, and native wildflowers bloom across our gardens. Towering hardwood trees provide shade and serenity as they sway gently in the mountain breeze.
The grounds are a haven for wildlife—elk, often spotted wandering through the valley at dawn or dusk, remind us of the wild heart of the Smokies. White-tailed deer, squirrels, and even the occasional fox make guest appearances throughout the season. For bird lovers, our cabins are a paradise: hummingbirds zip and dance between feeders, and countless native species—such as the Carolina wren, Eastern bluebird, and red cardinal—sing from the treetops.
And let’s not forget our four-legged mascot, Zeke, the lovable blue healer belonging to Mark and Lianne. Zeke has become a favorite among returning guests—his bark may announce your arrival, but his heart is all about affection, playtime, and posing for those perfect cabin photos.

Every Saturday (schedule and weather permitting), guests have the special opportunity to enjoy a true Southern treat—WTF? Smokin BBQ by none other than Pitmaster Mark. Volunteering his time, Mark sets up on-site to serve mouthwatering smoked meats and Southern sides, prepared with love and tradition.
This exclusive BBQ experience is available to Country Cabins guests only, and RSVPs are required at least 24 hours before check-in to secure a plate. Whether you’re savoring brisket beneath the pines or enjoying pulled pork while watching the sun dip behind the mountains, the experience is one you won’t want to miss.
