Cabins

Our Cabins – Comfort, Charm & Mountain Views

Our five individually-named cabins are designed with comfort and character in mind. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a family retreat, we have the perfect spot waiting for you.

Rhododendron Cabin

This cabin has authentic modern log construction with the “little house on the prairie” loft. The cathedral ceiling rises in the living area lifting the spirit as you relax by the fire or cool from the summer heat in the air conditioned cabin.

As do all of our cabins, this cabin is decorated with comfortable “lodge-like” furnishings. You can rock on the covered front porch, sit in the porch swing and listen to the bubbling stream.

On the lawn side of the cabin is a deck, near the grill and a campfire ring. It’s a great place to enjoy a summer evening with hotdogs and burgers, topped off with toasted marshmellows, chocolate and graham cracker smores! Then you can wind down the evening under the glistening stars listening to the sounds of the night.

Sweet Mountain Laurel Cabin

This cabin as sweet as its name. It has modern log construction with the ‘little house on the prairie’ loft. The cathedral ceiling lifts the spirits as you relax by the fire or cool from the summer heat in the air conditioned cabin. The furnishings are ‘lodge-like’ which creates a rustic yet modern ambience.

You can “rock the evening away,” in the front porch rockers or relax in the porch swing. This cabin has it’s own unique feature. Ole timey houses often had a “lean-to” or added room attached for a kitchen. We didn’t need another kitchen, so we slipped a hot tub into the added room.

Only the guests in this cabin may enter thru the private entrance from your porch! After a dip in the hot tub, you can have a cook out on the deck that overlooks the lovely, grassy lawn shaded with trees.

Cedar Springs

This cabin was the first of our “priceless treasures.” As do the others, it too has modern log construction with the “little house on the prairie loft” and a cathedral ceiling that lifts the spirits as you relax by the fire or cool from the summer heat in the air-conditioned cabin. The furnishings are “lodge-like” creating the rustic yet modern ambiance.

This cabin permits you to escape to a private deck with a hot tub surrounded by nature in all of her glory. You enter this hidden world from inside the cabin to a deck surrounded by rhododendron and trees, with the echo of a bubbling brook nearby.

At night, there’s the porch rockers, the swing and even the deck, campfire ring, or a roaring fire in the fireplace—dependent upon the season and your desire.

Wildcat Cabin

Wildcat Run

Step back in time in this lovely antique 2-story original Appalachian Log Home. The cabin is 200 years old and was originally moved from the nearby mountains and reconstructed onsite.

The two-stories create the feeling of years gone by and you can imagine what life must have been like then while you enjoy modern comforts of a dishwasher, 2 baths, and central air and heat.

It’s a family type cabin with 2 rooms in the loft, one large, open room which permits entrance to a private room and the second bath. It’s so authentic you may think that you can see and hear people from the past!

Little Cabin

Formerly, The Honeymoon Cabin, Little Cabin is now the only one of it’s type in the Maggie Valley area. The uniqueness of this derives from a blend of the old and the new.
The original 175 year old Appalachian log home has been remodeled and a new room added on. The original cabin is now a living/room dining area. Sky lights, new furniture. and improved lighting enhances the ambiance of the antique portion.

There is now a spacious separate bedroom with a queen size bed and a 2-person Jacuzzi-type hot tub. The front porch was covered and has rocking chairs and is now adjacent to an enclosed private garden that is just right to enjoy morning coffee or to listen to the babbling brook in the evening.

And there is also a wrap-around deck that overlooks the stream. It is a perfect setting for a romantic evening or to sit back and relax by the gas log fireplace. The renovations have doubled the size of the cabin and has made it our most popular cabin.
