Maggie Valley Opry House

Directions
Maggie Valley is 30 miles west of Asheville: take I-40 west to Exit 27. From Knoxville take I-40 east to Exit 20. Highway access is excellent. Travel is easy and convenient.
To get to Country cabins….
From I-40: take exit 27 toward Waynesville onto Hwy 74. exit from Hwy 74 at exit 103 onto Hwy 19. Bradley St. is on the left between the BB & T Bank and Country Vineyard, before Eagle Nest Entertainment. Turn left and come .2 miles and Country Cabins is on the left.
From Hwy 23/74 (at Waynesville), take exit 102 onto Hwy 276 toward Maggie Valley. At the light at Lake Junaluska, turn left onto Hwy 19. Bradley St. is on the left between the BB & T Bank and Country Vineyard, before Eagle Nest Entertainment. Turn left and come .2 miles and Country Cabins is on the left.
From Cherokee: follow Hwy 19 to the Valley. Bradley St. will be on the right (about 2 miles) after Eagle Nest Entertainment between Country Vineyard and the BB & T Bank.Turn Right and come .2 miles and Country Cabins in on the left.
Weather
Maggie Valley is one of the highest towns east of the Mississippi at over 3,200 feet, nearly 1,500 feet higher than Gatlinburg, Tennessee, making summertime temperatures in the area 10-15 degrees cooler with average daytime highs being in the 70s to low 80s.

Winter
In the Winter the naked trees give us a peek into the mountainsides we can only experience this time of year. Activities include (but are not limited to) snow skiing, snow tubing, hiking and snowshoe hiking and sledding. Late Winter the Daffodils pop up everywhere.

Spring
Spring bursts forth with Apple Blossoms, Azaleas, Rhododendron flowers and Flowering Dogwoods to name a few. Hosta’s, Tulips and Lily’s seem to sprout up overnight. Animal babies of all kinds can be observed learning new skills such as walking, climbing, hopping and flying. It’s nature at it’s best!

Summer
Wildflowers cover the area in Summer and linger through Fall. Our average temperature is in the 70’s since we have an elevation of 3,000 feet. Some of our guest favorite Summer activities are: Floating and tubing on one of our many rivers, Hiking to our numerous waterfalls, & Biking and driving our scenic roads.

Fall
Mother Natures paintbrush splashes trees with color in every direction you look and that look can go for miles and miles on The Parkway. Fall and Apple Festivals are in full swing enticing us to try the newest apple treat and shop for that piece of local art.
